It’s a rare shoot-free Saturday and the rain is drizzling ever so slightly outside. I keep crossing my fingers that it’ll drop another few degrees and that wet rain will turn into magical snowflakes. A few weeks ago, I had the greatest privilege in getting to photograph some of my heros in parenting. I mean, they have four incredible kids under the age of four. How can they NOT be every parent’s hero!? And they are parenting with such grace and joy. You walk in their home and you feel completely enveloped with so much love and laughter and gratitude. They are truly such an incredible example of what it means to love and serve and raise up disciples and warriors for the His Kingdom. We braved the sprinkling rain and headed out with their trusty double jogging stroller and wagon and made our way to this perfect field down the road from their house.

Through their eyes, they probably saw a field of dead grass, but to me, it was the absolute PERFECT location for some warm, wintery family photos. I’ve been dreaming of photographing their family since I met Matt & Leanne and when this shoot came to life, ahh, I cried a few tears when I started editing these photos. I just pray my husband and I can love and raise our children with the same kind of gentleness and grace that these two are!! Matt & Leanne, we are just so thankful for you guys and the example that you are and what incredible people and parents you are. We can’t WAIT for some family dinners together in 2018 and watching our kids play together. What a special treat that will be!
