Springtime Fruit Infused Waters | In My Home

If you’re anything like me, you love ALL fruits. And if you’re also like me, you like to drink water, but probably don’t drink enough and should drink more. ;) I even have a cute The Mason Bar Company jar  thinking it would help me drink more water! It was a few years ago that I really started adding fruit into my water, but when I started infusing fruits and letting them steep overnight, my water intake tripled!!

On any given day, I’ll have one or two pitchers in my fridge with different fruit waters, because I like to have variety. These are a few of my favorite flavor combinations, but mixing and matching is absolutely allowed! :) If I can encourage you to do one thing, PLANT an herb garden! Not only will it save so many pennies in your wallet, you’ll have fresh herbs exploding from your garden at all times!

Different basil varieties, rosemary, spearmint, chocolate mint, and sage are staples in my garden that are hearty and grow well! And herb infused fruit waters are mind-blowing!

Here’s a few suggestions I would recommend trying…today :)

Rosemary + Mint | pick a few sprigs of each and put in a pitcher with water. Keep in fridge overnight to steep and drink up!

Orange, Mango + Green Apple | I use fresh oranges or meyer lemons for this one, and FROZEN mangos (say what!?). The frozen mangos work so well when steeped overnight and have such a yummy flavor!

Strawberry + Cara Cara Orange | If I have fresh strawberries that are on their last leg, I’ll chop them up and then smash them with a whisk to break them up, add about 1 cup to a 12 cup pitcher and add a few orange slices. The pink color is so fun and it tastes so yummy! This one doesn’t need to steep overnight and tastes best fresh!

Sage + Lemon | This is a more savory water, but I LOVE it! Add in some mint if you want too, for a therapeutic, relaxing scent and flavor! :)

Cucumber + Kiwi (watermelon too, if you want!) | Cucumber is one of my favorite flavors in water, and paired with kiwi it’s perfect!

Grapefruit, Orange, Lemon + Lime | Well, this is relatively self explanatory, but ALL things citrus are my favorite, especially now that I’m pregnant! :) This combination is amazing! If you want to eat the fruits, you can just use the rinds for this water. The natural oils in the rinds give a muted, subtle hint of citrus without being too sour!

Green Apple, Pink Lady + Cinnamon | This is a fall favorite! It’s perfect when the apples are in season! Let them steep overnight because their flavor is so mild and the flavor tends to stay in the fruit. Add a few cinnamon sticks and enjoy!

We host a community group at least once a month at our house and making these waters has been such a treat because they look way fancier than they are and taste so yummy! It’s such a fun, inexpensive way to make water more exciting! :)
