I’m writing this from the sweet space of a quiet living room, a crackling fire in front of me, and a steamy mug of Tazo Zen tea to my right. It’s about as close to perfect as I can describe for a space to decompress, catch up, and take some time to breathe. The past few days have been full of late nights, slow mornings, Trader Joes candy cane tea, and of course…we had to sneak in an afternoon of adventuring outside! We all bundled up in the most coordinated clothes we could find, and considering this was a little last minute, I’d say it came together pretty well! :) We even pulled out the trusty tripod for a few family photos, because we had to get everyone in the shot! I can’t wait to see these all hanging on the wall and to watch our families grow and oh my goodness can you even HANDLE the cuteness of little Daniel!? His hat had me all sorts of heart-eyed!

I am so blessed to have married into not just one family, but into all of these families, and I am so honored every day to watch their sweet kiddies grow and to share in making memories and meals, going to late night viewings of Mockingjay II, playing endless games of Codenames (which every home needs to have in the game cupboard!), and pass a basket full of notecards with the things we’re thankful for around the dinner table and guess the writer.

I’m off to spend the evening packing up some boxes…because there’s something so exciting happening in our lives! :) Can’t wait to share!!
