Feel free to cozy up with your favorite beverage (if you're like me, then maybe it's an espresso over ice with a splash of cream, or a warm matcha latte if it's cold outside!) and stay awhile. This is my place to share not just beautiful weddings or sessions, but to share my life. My hope is through this, you'll get to know a bit more about me and all the beautiful people that make it worth living!
Where to even begin. These two first called me last winter and I remember sitting in my living room listening to their story and how Whitworth University played such an important part!! I may not have attended there personally, but coming from a long line of Whitworth graduates and friends who have attended, I just knew these two were special!! With every conversation we had, I got more and more excited to be a part of their wedding day. When I met them for the first time in March for their engagement session, I fell in love with their relationship and how precious they are together!
It’s hard to describe a love so tender and gentle, and a friendship so sweet and committed. Jon brings out Emilee’s laughter and joy, and when she’s around him, he comes alive with so much zeal and enthusiasm. They’re so good for each other and challenge each other to be stronger, better individuals, and their marriage is such a testimony of God’s grace and provision over their lives! I’ve been one of their biggest fans watching them get married, build raised beds and start their first garden together, and on their wedding day, I was overwhelmed with emotion seeing all of their family and friends who are like family who drove for hours to celebrate their beautiful wedding and the day they became the Bosh’s!
Just before every wedding, I get a little nervous looking at the weather, and on the morning of their wedding I peeked out the window and saw some gentle rain falling and couldn’t have been happier! The clouds were so beautiful, and it drizzled all day long… but the lighting was absolutely dreamy. It was the perfect temperature and even though the ceremony site was “plan B”, it was gorgeous!!!! Jon and Emilee and their entire family were so gracious with every little thing that could have been a hiccup, and everyone was SO excited for these two to be getting married that the weather didn’t matter one bit!!!
The Mazama Country Inn, tucked in the Cascade mountains served as the most perfect setting for their day, and warm, romantic fires were burning in the fireplaces, white twinkly lights were strung through the trees and the smell of homemade rainy day comfort food filled the air. It was perfect.
I couldn’t be more excited for these two and that they’re finally married!!! One of my favorite memories of this year was being a part of #ohmybosh2016!!! Thank you so much, Jon and Emilee, for choosing me to be there to capture every moment of your day!!! <3
