She first saw him sitting on the bench in the dugout and just knew she had to meet him. She had to know his name. It only took one night at 5:30 on the softball field for Melanie to realize that this couldn’t be the only time with him…so time would tell and softball games with Nick became a routine twice a week at 5:30. And time became forever. Inseparable.
The way Melanie looks up at Nick, the way he looks down at her and winks. The way she wrinkles up her nose and laughs at his little jokes. The way they just live life together: as best friends do. Encouraging each other’s dreams and passions, admiring every talent and every flaw and loving each other no matter what. You two just display love in such a beautiful, evident way. In action and through words.
Nick, I hope you were able to keep the honeymoon location a secret ;)
