It’s not every day that a family with a one week old baby makes the trek to oh, pretty much the middle of nowhere with a massive wind advisory that made the temps feel below freezing…but they did. And I’m ever so grateful! When Adam & Jade contacted me for family photos, I told them I wasn’t a newborn photographer, ha! But what I did promise them were some really special lifestyle family photos. They bundled up and made the drive just north of Lake Chelan to this hidden gem of a location that’s one of my favorites for those light, airy photos. I tell all my clients, “you sure you’re up for driving to a location with oh…dead grass?” But it’s. so. worth. it ;) I guess when you find your style, you stick with it, right!? It wasn’t until I became a mom myself that I realized the incredible treasure of photographing each season of life and sometimes being a parent of tiny babies you lose sight of what’s right in front of you and it can all be a little bit of a blur. These photos just remind me so much of the value of slowing down and connecting and loving those little people who we have the privilege of raising! <3 Adam & Jade, go snuggle those babies and continue being the incredible parents you are!!!
