In lieu of St. Patrick’s Day, it’s only fitting to be eating green, dressing green, and celebrating all things green. So the day started out just perfect with this metabolism booster!
Because after all, green is good. And I feel better about myself when I’m fueling myself with proper nutrition that tastes good and does my body well.
So let’s begin, shall we. Today’s Shamrock Shake is the absolute perfect blend of some of my very favorite ingredients. Mint, banana, almond milk, arugula and/or spinach, and the most special ingredient of all: matcha powder. You know, the powder they use to make the most glorious some-might-say-tastes-like-grass drink at Starbucks. :) It’s fantastic and fantastic for you.
This powder is so complex, addicting, and often can be considered bitter. It’s full of chlorophyll, nutrients, and antioxidants, and while it does have a bit of caffeine, it’s the perfect way to start the day without the cup of coffee.
