Feel free to cozy up with your favorite beverage (if you're like me, then maybe it's an espresso over ice with a splash of cream, or a warm matcha latte if it's cold outside!) and stay awhile. This is my place to share not just beautiful weddings or sessions, but to share my life. My hope is through this, you'll get to know a bit more about me and all the beautiful people that make it worth living!
It’s not every wedding that I have the privilege of attending the rehearsal dinner the night before, but last Friday, I was invited into not just a rehearsal dinner. Shortly after I arrived, I realized this dinner was truly a gathering of Cal & Laura’s closest family and friends. And by close family, I mean…these two met as babies! Close knit families are a gift that so many people don’t get to experience, and I am so thankful to be in one, but seeing these two with their parents and aunts and uncles and cousins and siblings who have all been a part of each other’s lives for years and grown up together was such an honor. Cal & Laura’s dads have been… in their words, “best buds”, since they were little boys. And those two dads got to watch their kids get married this past weekend. I really, really can’t say it enough…it was so, so special.
Saturday morning was filled with hazy skies from some unfortunate smoke in the air that made for THE prettiest pictures, but let’s be honest, Cal and Laura are THE most beautiful couple! I walked into the lakefront home they rented near their wedding venue (within walking distance, you guys!) and my jaw hit the floor, I’m just about certain. Two story high windows with sweeping views of Lake Chelan, a romantic white staircase that overlooked the living room and a chalk drawing that I’m sure certain family members had way too much fun writing, “Cal and Laura sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g 4ever!” Laura has THE most incredible eye for detail and color and had every detail chosen perfectly, from her absolutely stunning wedding dress to long blush colored bridesmaids gowns. Their bouquets were finished with just the right amount of fresh eucalyptus and their reception site, ahh, I could go on forever!!! Engraved corkscrews for wedding favors placed perfectly on top of blush colored linens with a bottle of Karma Vineyards signature champagne.
I feel SO incredibly honored to have been a part of Cal & Laura’s day and seeing these two finally become Mr. & Mrs. Campbell!!! It was THE best day for so many reasons and SO many people…and mostly because their two families finally became true FAMILY! <3 Enjoy this peek into their romantic day!!
