Feel free to cozy up with your favorite beverage (if you're like me, then maybe it's an espresso over ice with a splash of cream, or a warm matcha latte if it's cold outside!) and stay awhile. This is my place to share not just beautiful weddings or sessions, but to share my life. My hope is through this, you'll get to know a bit more about me and all the beautiful people that make it worth living!

FEATURED, FROM MY HEART, WEDDINGS

September 19, 2018

Colin & Terra | Harmony Meadows | Lake Chelan Wedding

Before I even say anything else, I’ll just warn you…this is probably the longest blog post of photos that has ever been shared, but I can promise you won’t regret sitting down for a few minutes to relive Colin & Terra’s wedding day. I’ve been composing just the right words in my head for this post all day, but what’s come to me is just what I feel in this very moment : honored. It’s been a dream of mine since I first saw them open in Chelan to photograph a wedding at Harmony Meadows. It’s one of those places that you step out of your car onto the property and are transported directly to the South. Now, for those of you from the South, most wedding venues have this classic charm. But for the PNW, this place is a dream come true.

I’ll be honest, I woke up the morning of Colin & Terra’s wedding and my shoulders sank. It was well into weeks of waking up to thick smoky air. We’re talking hazardous air quality for WA. I mean, I got texts from family members telling me to wear a mask to protect the baby in my belly while shooting in this kind of air. But I just prayed. I knew it would take a miracle to clear the entirety of the sky, but when my mom and I arrived to Harmony Meadows just outside of Lake Chelan, we looked at each other in shock. It was just a small miracle that this location is tucked into a pocket of the mountains that just seemed to be protected from the air. I mean, maybe I was just in work mode, but I didn’t notice the smoke once all day. What I DID notice were the impeccable details of Terra’s gown that she found at The Dress Theory, and her stunning friends that stood beside her as she said I do to her best friend.

I just feel so privileged to have been a part of Colin & Terra’s wedding day, to have just a glimpse into their love story, and capture this perfect day for them. These two are some of THE most genuine and kind people you will ever meet. They have the biggest hearts and have the dearest friends and family who traveled from across the country to share in their day. I was so privileged to be back at it with my dear mama, because Colin & Terra have the most amazing moms. It’s not often that I feel like I walk away from a wedding day feeling like I was just hanging out with my family and friends, but you see, that’s just the kind of people Colin & Terra are, and who their friends are. They all feel like family. You know, it feels a little bit like I’ve finally come full circle doing what I love, when I get to photograph weddings where past brides are bridesmaids. Soo, I guess you can say it felt like I was just catching up with people I love so much!! Thank you SO much, Colin & Terra for inviting me into this season of your life and for letting me capture just a bit of the love you two share!!!

I can’t handle this little house. Harmony Meadows thought of everything when creating this little slice of paradise in the Lake Chelan valley. It’s perfect.

Did Terra not have the most beautiful bridesmaids ever or what!?

Stop. It. These two are STUNNING!

Dear dear friends and one of our past couples, Alex & Marit!
