Every year when wedding season begins, I get those pre-game nerves, but this last weekend on my way out to the incredible Harmony Meadows Resort , I just couldn’t help but think, “I have the greatest ‘job’ in the world.” Makenzie and Rick’s stunning Harmony Meadows Wedding in Chelan was so incredibly memorable! Last weekend was full of SO much laughter and the most thoughtful toasts from the bridal party, perfect summer weather, an epic getaway car, and a reception space that transported you right to a romantic French dinner party with florals that were absolutely stunning.

These two met in high school and have been inseparable since – and watching these two share the sweetest hand-written vows to one another was just an example of how much they truly love each other. Their guests flew from all over the world to the beautiful destination of Chelan for their special day. Lake Chelan was the perfect place for these two to say “I do” alongside their incredible family and friends!

As a photographer, it is always SO special to get to photograph weddings like these where so much thought has been put into each and every detail, from the watercolored painting of the iconic Harmony Meadows barn, a unique crest custom to Makenzie and Rick, bagpipes to usher in the wedding guests, and Makenzie’s dad trailered his gorgeous cherry red VW bug that was his car back in high school as their getaway car. They had such unique touches during their cocktail hour with custom drinks like “The Benny”, a homage to their dog. There were so many fun and special moments to their day!!
