Feel free to cozy up with your favorite beverage (if you're like me, then maybe it's an espresso over ice with a splash of cream, or a warm matcha latte if it's cold outside!) and stay awhile. This is my place to share not just beautiful weddings or sessions, but to share my life. My hope is through this, you'll get to know a bit more about me and all the beautiful people that make it worth living!

FEATURED, WEDDINGS

August 16, 2014

Ryan + Christy | Wenatchee Golf and Country Club

Usually when I sit down to edit a wedding, I refer to one of many music playlists to reflect the mood of the wedding. For Ryan and Christy, though, a song came on on its own that was….well, the most perfect, tender, sweet song to reflect their love.

Norah Jones’ Come Away with Me.

These two met unforgettably during law school and  a majority of their communication was through email. Even though they were on the same campus, that was how they got to know one another. Not through being together or through phone calls, but through long, get-to-know-my-heart, real, authentic emails sent back and forth for almost a year of school.

Ryan and Christy have an intimacy in their relationship that is so pure and so tender. The way they care for one another through their actions speaks far louder than words. And not only did they choose to get to know one another’s hearts in the sweetest way, these two chose to wait until their wedding day to share their first kiss….and I’m pretty sure they were both sooo excited!

Christy began the day with her dearest friends and family with a bridal breakfast complete with buttery scones and raspberry lemonade bellinis. From there, her hair was pinned back with dazzling pins and she slipped into the silkiest gown, laced up her sparkling shoes and spritzed on her favorite perfume. Just down the road, her prince charming was adjusting his tie so it looked just-so and tied the laces on his shiny oxfords >> and then the most precious first look you’ll ever see happened. She took his breath away as he pulled her in close.

Ryan and Christy, thank you so much for inviting us in to document your romantic day. We feel so honored and privileged to have been there! <3 <3 congratulations you two!!!

Xoxoxo,

Emily
